Remembering Buffalo Boy Nick

Remembering the extraordinary Nick Kamen who left us just two years ago today

after his long struggle with cancer at the age of 59.

Nick was often called the face of the 80's after his groundbreaking tv commercial

for Levi Jeans back in 1985, which was filmed in a launderette.

As well as being a music artist he originally started out as a model, along with his brother

Barry (1963-2015), after being discovered by fashion stylist Ray Petri, who went on to 

establish the 80's Buffalo Boy style.

Both Nick and Barry Kamen's beauty was clearly the result of their mixed ethnicity, being

half Burmese, Dutch, Irish and English.
