THE LONDON NAKED BIKE RIDE 2023

On Saturday London hosted it's annual World Naked Bike Ride, an event that first
started back in 2004. It's become a processional protest that addresses issues like cycling
safety, oil dependency, the environment and body freedom.

The good weather brought out a high turnout. In fact I can't recall visiting the Bike Ride
on such a hot day. And it's good to see London getting back to it's normal Summer calendar
events after 3 years of event cancellations.

And coming up very soon is London Gay Pride, a big day out that I last attended in 2019. So
looking forward to returning there in a few weeks.

This adorable little fella was definitely star of the day. Although I can't help thinking that he would
have received more attention had he not covered up his face so much. He certainly enjoyed
being photographed. And I'm guessing that he might be a Naked Bike Ride novice looking
at the final picture of him at the bottom of this page, as it shows him leaving the nude
restricted area and heading towards Hyde Park and walking naked into crowds unaware of the
Naked Bike Ride event. I think I saw a few gasps.

In the picture below, he was asked by some Japanese tourists if he would take their picture,
but then they decided that they wanted him in the picture.
