Techin's Asian Men.....And Amateur Thai Drama Critics!

Asian Male photographer Techin is someone that wisely chooses to capture his
models in the great outdoors, using nature as his backdrop, thereby casting aside the
use of an indoor photographic studio. And it pays off as we can see his models in a
natural setting.
More of his work can be seen in the links below.

Ameen Sirita who featured in my mega post Asian Overload is someone we haven't seen
online for sometime. In fact he vanished from all online activity for 4 years, recently
emerging back on his instagram earlier this year. And so with so much to catch up on
he's been posting up many archive images going back a few years.

WHY SOME AMATEUR CRITICS
DIDN'T LIKE 'FATHER & SON.'

Ameen Sirita first caught my eye with his appearance in the 2015 Thai Drama 'FATHER & SON.'
It was a pleasant enough yarn with lots of eye candy, yet one or two cantankerous amateur kitchen
sink film critics, and I'm referring to one or two retired farangs currently based in Bangkok,
well they chose to slay it, calling it rubbish, which at the time I felt was unfair.
In fact I recall parting company with one of them who used to contribute to my previous blog.
They just didn't seem to like things that I personally enjoyed. And the slaying of my 'BL Cafe' post
was probably the final straw.

When you criticize a film or Drama it is only your own personal opinion. You should not
attempt to dissuade everyone else from watching something. As humans we are all on different levels
and enjoy different things. You wouldn't expect fans of 'Rambo' or 'Rocky' films to enjoy
high art European Cinema because we are all so different.

Yes we are all pulled in by the eye candy factor when searching out for new Dramas.
But the concept of placing a top pin-up boy in a Thai Drama doesn't always work as we saw
when JEFF SATUR was drafted in to star in 'INGREDIENTS.' And so judging a Thai Drama by
the eye candy content is not the right way. The story, the plot and the acting is more important.

But as I said 'Father and Son' was a pleasant enough yarn even though it was a far fetched story.
And hopefully Ameen Sirita will not see his role in the film as a one off and that hopefully he
might secure a new acting role in the future..
